§1 pre-deletion gate report — STOP

Headline. The retirement unit's data-deletion targets are already gone. The three retained RTOpacks DB copies do not exist in the UCCA account, and the 21 GB .migration-exports/ was already deleted (cleanup-recon Tier-1). Neither §1 gate could run against a non-existent subject. Per the brief's stop-and-report rule ("a name that doesn't match the audit → report, don't proceed") and Tim's order (stop at §2), I stopped. Nothing was deleted; nothing needed to be.

§1.1 — size-anomaly note — MOOT

The note was to record the retained rtopacks-db at ~450 MB before deletion. The database does not exist in e5a98302. Verified: wrangler d1 info on 334ac8fb-9850-48c0-9da0-b56c55640e98, rtopacks-db, rto-nrt-db, abs-db — all four return "Couldn't find a D1 DB with name or binding … in your config or the API." Nothing to measure; the anomaly is moot.

§1.2 — orphan-table review — UNRUNNABLE

The review was to enumerate tables in the three retained DBs and check each has a successor. The three DBs are absentwrangler d1 list on e5a98302 returns only the four engine platform DBs: ucca-input-path (a1fa9d09…), engine-db-oc (fb6ddc43…), mcp-db (eb1ca268…), ops-db (00daba3d…). No retained RTOpacks DB is present, so there are no tables to enumerate and no orphan check to run. The safety gate has no subject.

The rider (§2.5) — also already done

.migration-exports/ (21 GB) is NOT on disk — already deleted under UCCA-RTOPACKS-CLEANUP-RECON-01 Tier-1 (2026-07-03). The rider's green-lit deletion is complete.

What actually remains — code residue only (§2, not §1)

Dangling bindings to the deleted rtopacks-db persist in code: - surfaces/ucca-surfaces/apps/ops-v2/wrangler.jsonc — binds rtopacks-db (334ac8fb…), DB gone. - surfaces/ucca-surfaces/workers/backup/wrangler.toml — binds rtopacks-db, DB gone. These are the §2 CUT/retire targets (ops-v2 = CUT per §4; backup last). Retiring workers with dead bindings touches no data — it is safe when the window opens. I stopped before it, as ordered.

Discrepancy to reconcile (escalated)

  • RTOpacks' Q2 (2026-07-03) describes "your retained rtopacks-db (~450 MB)" as extant. It is not — it (and the other two) are already deleted. When and how is undocumented in our record.
  • The pre-deletion orphan-review safety check therefore never ran against the retained copies (they were gone before the clearance completed). Completeness now rests on RTOpacks' own MIGRATE-02 row-count reconciliation (attested across all nine DBs, Q2) — not on our gate.
  • Recommendation: reconcile the record before the code-residue steps proceed (they are data-safe regardless). A one-line crossing may be warranted: the retained copies the clearance authorised us to retire were already gone; noting it so both ledgers agree. Tim's call.

Read-only gate report. The unit's data is already retired — the safety review it demanded could not run because there was nothing left to review. That is a finding, not a failure; the honest map is: data gone, code residue remains, one record discrepancy to close.
